Rainbow Crackle Nails

HI!!! I wanted to share my rainbow crackle nails with you. I have seen these all over the net and wanted to try them. I dug out my favorite Sally Hansen colors, I just love Sally Hansen polishes and have used that brand for years and years! I started out with a white base coat so that the colors would really pop when I applied them. After the white set I proceded to sponge on the colors using a makeup sponge. Then I applied the black crackle and ofcourse my trusty standby Pure Ice Oh Baby:)

Here's the color line up...
and here's the finished result...

These are about 3 days old...they have been wearing pretty decently!
I think I may try some other color combos, I really love how they came out:)

Tape Mani!

I did a tape mani earlier this week and it actaully turned out pretty decent! In the past I tried using clear tape but it didn't always turn out too well. It's probably cause I have so little patience and apply the tape too soon. I was more patient this time and I also tried out that blue tape painters use for taping off glass and stuff. It worked like a charm!

I used WnW Biter the Bullet, Sally Hansen Wet Cement and Pure Ice Oh Baby.
I tend to use Oh Baby A LOT! I just love the light shimmer it gives and it's so much easier to remove than chunky glitters are!

I started out with a base of the WnW and then after it set taped it off and added the Sally Hansen and let that dry. Just for fun I added some dots and then topped it off with some Oh Baby and a fast dry top coat.

I got quite a few compliments at work on it and I always love to hear what people think of them:)

Doticure!

This is my first time doing a doticure and I love how it turned out! I have a feeling there will be many more doticures in my furture!  I used WnW Through the Grapevine for the base and dotted on WnW On a Trip , LA Colors Static Electricity and Atomic and topped it off with Pure Ice Oh Baby.

Till next time!

Disturbia

Today I tried out my new Wet N Wild Disturbia. It's such a gorgeous deep purple. Two coats covers like a dream with the Pro Brush it comes with. I was a bit dubious of that brush when I pulled it out of the bottle but was soon  impressed at how evenly it applied the polish. After it dried I got out my Salon Express plates and used Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Golden and added some zebra stripes too it. I'm really happy with the finished result!

Feathered

One of my favorite things to embed in my acrylic is feathers! It's actually fairly simple too do and it looks so neat when you're done. The one I have pictured below I did a french white with a copper glitter fade. I then layered the feather into the acrylic.

I need to find some fun colored feathers soon!

Monarch Butterfly

I have seen this done on the web and wanted to give it a shot myself. I love butterflies and dragonflies! Here's my take on it. I used 2 coats of LA Colors Shock, 1 coat Wet n' Wild Fast Dry Orange, NYC French White, LA Colors Black Art Deco and topped it off with Pure Ice Oh Baby.

I'm gonna try this on my nails this weekend!

LadyBugs!

I bought a new red polish today and decided too do some fun ladybug nail art. Being it's summer time I felt like this was a great oportunity too try it. My camera is freaking out on me so please forgive the photo lol.

I had a lot of fun trying this!

Lacey Nails

I did these a couple months ago. I embedded the lace into the acrylic. I did a pink glitter fade on them too. I really am happy with the finished product although my photography needs a bit of tweaking! One day I will get the hang of it:)

Fimo!!

Not long ago I ordered some fimo canes off of Amazon. I absolutely love them! There are so many great desgins and I can get countless slices off each cane. The ones I purchased were about $5.00 and well worth that! So far I have only embedded them in the acrylic.

Here's a shot of the canes. They are about 2 inches long.

I used some pink gliiter acrylic I mixed and added some pretty flowers.

This is a white french with a green glitter fade with fruit fimos.

Here's one with a skull and crossbones. Kinda emo like I guess lol.

Tropical Escape

I'm so in need of a vacation!! This inspired me to try and do a tropics sunset nail. I got out my practise finger, loving known as my creeper finger, and came up with this. I used a light yellow base and then sponged on a red. I stamped on a palm tree and added some black for the island and added a little bird. Topped it off with Pure Ice Oh Baby.

If you can't go to the island, bring the island to you!

Bubble Gum & Grape Soda

Here's a pic of what I have on today. I used EzFlow's Bubble Gum and Grape Soda. Hubby picked up the cute decals for me! He's always thinking of me..gotta love him! ♥

These are a few days old and work is never easy on them , time for another topcoat!

Have a good one!

My first sets!

The following pics are from over a year ago. These are some of my first sets using a quality product, instead of the stuff from WallyWorld, and quality makes a ton of difference!

This was my first time using colored acrylic, learning to form a smile line is a challenge but I don't think I did too horrible. I used EzFlow in Bubble Gum pink, this one of my favs!

This was one of my first times mixing glitter into my acrylic. I took my silver nail art paint and painted lines on the smile line area.

This set was for around Valentine's. I did the french white and added some chunky pink glitters and then encased them in clear acrylic.
This set is probably one of my favorites. It's a basic white french...before the white acrylic sets I took some small tubing ( the kind you use for a fish tank) and I made impressions with it. After the white sets I then filled the impressions with various colored acrylics, then filed them, buffed and topcoated them. These were a lot of fun to wear!

More too come!! Have a great day!!!

Welcome!!!

Thanks for taking a look at my blog! The main purpose of this blog is just to share things I have learned from other bloggers and nail art enthusiasts. I am not a professional, I'm just someone who loves pretty nails and loves finding new fun ways to make them pretty. I love acrylic nails and have been doing my own now for some time. I also love doing fun things with polish and glitters and even feathers lol! I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy doing them.
